How Glutathione Is Continuing to Surprise Us

If you’ve followed my efforts with LifeWave, you’re probably familiar with my work to provide the benefits of increased glutathione levels to our customers. Researchers have known for a while now that this antioxidant may be one of the key factors in maintaining health and wellness. However, as much as we know about glutathione, it still continues to surprise us; recent research indicates that it may play an important role in improving stem cell function, something that’s also been a focus of my recent work.

A Powerful Antioxidant

Glutathione is perhaps best known as one of the most powerful antioxidants in our bodies. Antioxidants play a key role in our overall well-being by helping to combat the detrimental effects of free radicals. Unchecked, these free radicals can invoke oxidative stress, which can cause a host of issues, such as systemic damage and inflammation. Free radicals can accumulate and get out of control when there aren’t enough antioxidants in our systems to reduce their numbers. In the presence of sufficient quantities of antioxidants, however, free radicals and oxidative stress can be minimized.

Since glutathione is such a powerful antioxidant in its own right, it can play a significant role in this process. It is produced in our bodies naturally as a way to help curb inflammation and other key health risks. However, the body’s ability to produce glutathione can be influenced by many different factors, such as age, stress, and exposure to external toxins. When levels of this important antioxidant drop due to these factors, a person’s health may suffer. That’s why plenty of focus of modern research in this area has gone into finding ways to raise glutathione levels in sufficient quantities.

Elevating Glutathione

There are many proposed ways to elevate glutathione levels in the body. One popular way is to receive intravenous transfusions of the antioxidant. This method has risen to prominence, in part, because there has been mixed evidence about the efficacy of glutathione supplementation via oral ingestion. However, intravenous infusions and other similar methods are not without risks. Some people have reported unwanted side effects from the process, which has caused them to seek out other ways to increase their levels of this important antioxidant.

That’s one of the reasons that we worked so diligently to produce our glutathione patch. Through our patented phototherapy technology, our patches allow individuals to elevate their glutathione levels without turning to supplementation of any kind.

Supporting Stem Cell Activity

While the ability of glutathione to protect against free radicals has, understandably, often taken front and center stage, recent research is shining a light on its ability to support stem cell activity as well. If you’ve been following our work with our recently released, patented X39 patch, you already know that X39 was created as a way for users to experience the benefits from mobilized stem cell activity, especially if resorting to potentially dangerous surgeries isn’t as enticing. The results we’ve seen have been inspiring, with studies and anecdotal evidence showing that the patches can help with sleep, mitigation of mild discomfort, injury recovery, skin appearance, and much more.

Now, it seems that our glutathione patches may also be able to confer a benefit when it comes to stem cells. The science is still out on just how this important antioxidant can improve stem cell health, but initial studies are very favorable. It does appear that elevated levels of glutathione can have a protective and even restorative effect on these cells. Since stem cells are responsible for creating new cells in the body, anything we can do to improve their functionality holds the potential for great health benefits in many other areas as well.

Longevity

One final takeaway about the interesting new research coming out about glutathione is how it may affect longevity. We’re likely still a ways off from fully understanding this effect, but many research studies have now observed a correlation. When we look at individuals who have lived past the age of 100, one consistent factor is that they have high levels of glutathione in their bodies. This exciting observation seems like it could represent a turning point for the advancement of longevity science and other related fields.

Glutathione has, rightfully, garnered plenty of interest in recent years. Its role as an antioxidant that can protect against oxidative stress is well established. However, we are now beginning to understand its role in improving stem cell health and even longevity. With this new information coming to light, it’s an extremely exciting time to be working in the health and wellness field and developing our revolutionary technology.
