How Glutathione Is Continuing to Surprise Us

If you’ve followed my efforts with LifeWave, you’re probably familiar with my work to provide the benefits of increased glutathione levels to our customers. Researchers have known for a while now that this antioxidant may be one of the key factors in maintaining health and wellness. However, as much as we know about glutathione, it still continues to surprise us; recent research indicates that it may play an important role in improving stem cell function, something that’s also been a focus of my recent work.

A Powerful Antioxidant

Glutathione is perhaps best known as one of the most powerful antioxidants in our bodies. Antioxidants play a key role in our overall well-being by helping to combat the detrimental effects of free radicals. Unchecked, these free radicals can invoke oxidative stress, which can cause a host of issues, such as systemic damage and inflammation. Free radicals can accumulate and get out of control when there aren’t enough antioxidants in our systems to reduce their numbers. In the presence of sufficient quantities of antioxidants, however, free radicals and oxidative stress can be minimized.

Elevating Glutathione

There are many proposed ways to elevate glutathione levels in the body. One popular way is to receive intravenous transfusions of the antioxidant. This method has risen to prominence, in part, because there has been mixed evidence about the efficacy of glutathione supplementation via oral ingestion. However, intravenous infusions and other similar methods are not without risks. Some people have reported unwanted side effects from the process, which has caused them to seek out other ways to increase their levels of this important antioxidant.

Supporting Stem Cell Activity

While the ability of glutathione to protect against free radicals has, understandably, often taken front and center stage, recent research is shining a light on its ability to support stem cell activity as well. If you’ve been following our work with our recently released, patented X39 patch, you already know that X39 was created as a way for users to experience the benefits from mobilized stem cell activity, especially if resorting to potentially dangerous surgeries isn’t as enticing. The results we’ve seen have been inspiring, with studies and anecdotal evidence showing that the patches can help with sleep, mitigation of mild discomfort, injury recovery, skin appearance, and much more.

Longevity

One final takeaway about the interesting new research coming out about glutathione is how it may affect longevity. We’re likely still a ways off from fully understanding this effect, but many research studies have now observed a correlation. When we look at individuals who have lived past the age of 100, one consistent factor is that they have high levels of glutathione in their bodies. This exciting observation seems like it could represent a turning point for the advancement of longevity science and other related fields.
